# Can Soku do that? The capability map

One page that answers 'does Soku do X, where, and is it available to me right now?' — every workspace surface, the common asks routed to the surface that handles them, and what each one needs first.

# Can Soku do that? The capability map

Soku is bigger than the chat box. Most "can Soku do X?" confusion comes from looking at Chat alone and missing something one click away. This page is the map.

Every "can I…" question has three parts:

1. **Does the product have it?** The surfaces table is complete; the asks table lists the common ones, not every skill or data source.
2. **Where do I do it?** Chat, the Creatives canvas, the tool pages, Dashboard, and Automations have different jobs.
3. **Is it available to *me* right now?** That depends on your setup, not on the product: a connected account, a ChatGPT Ads account opened for the brand, your plan, or a Labs opt-in. The **Needs** column says which. Soku tells you the live answer on the spot.

## The surfaces

All in the brand workspace (left nav). Tour: [Working in a brand](/docs/using-soku).

| Surface | What it is for | Available |
|---|---|---|
| **Chat** | Analysis, reports, research, campaign changes (with your approval), Skills. | Always |
| **Dashboard** | Ad performance across connected accounts: KPIs, Breakdown, Creative, Quadrants, GA4, ChatGPT Ads **Campaigns**. | Always; tabs depend on connections |
| **Creatives** | The canvas for making and editing images and video: generate, edit from references, extend, upscale, burn in subtitles, remove text. Results land in the brand. | Images on every plan; video generation needs a paid plan |
| **Ad Library** | Browse real ad creatives from other brands. | Always |
| **Automations** | Recurring tasks on a schedule with run history. | Always |
| **Autopilot** | Autonomous optimization with L0 / L1 / L2 levels and an emergency stop. | Labs opt-in (Organization Admin), then per brand. If Autopilot already appears in your left nav, it is enabled: open it and set the runtime controls. |
| **SEO & GEO** (Visibility, Citations, Reports, Sites) | How your brand shows up in search and AI answers. | Labs opt-in |
| **Files** | What the agent produced or you uploaded for this brand. | Always |
| **Skills** | Install playbooks or upload private ones. | Always |
| **Integrations** | Connect your own accounts, open ChatGPT Ads, see Built-in providers. | Always |
| **Settings** | Memory, Labs switches, and **Settings › Plan** for billing. | Always; billing needs an Organization Admin |
| **Tool and model pages** (soku.ai/tools, /models) | Single-purpose generators, same engines as Creatives. | Always; each page states its plan requirement |

A surface missing from your left nav is not enabled for your organization yet, not missing from the product.

## Common asks and where they live

| You want to… | Where | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| Generate an image (product shots, ad visuals, variations from references) | **Creatives** canvas or a tool page | Nothing; every plan |
| Generate a video from a prompt, a still, or references; edit, extend, upscale, or subtitle an existing video; turn a product photo into a video ad | **Creatives** canvas or a tool page. Chat can run one video model directly. | A paid plan (Creator or above) |
| Voiceover, text to speech, transcription | **Chat**, or the text-to-speech / voiceover tool pages (ElevenLabs, Deepgram built in) | Nothing |
| Pull a performance report, find wasted spend, audit an account | **Chat** (Skills such as `soku-ads-report`, `ad-inspection-google`, `ad-inspection-meta`); **Dashboard** for the interactive view | The ad account connected and assigned to the brand |
| Launch, pause, or edit campaigns, budgets, bids; upload a creative to a platform asset library | **Chat**: Soku proposes, you approve | A connected ad account; for ChatGPT Ads, an account opened through Soku |
| Run ChatGPT Ads | **Integrations → ChatGPT Ads** to open the account (an Organization Admin funds it through Stripe), then Chat and Dashboard **Campaigns** | Not a connection: Soku opens the advertiser account. See [Getting started with ChatGPT Ads](/docs/getting-started-with-chatgpt-ads). |
| See where my campaigns are | **Dashboard → Campaigns** for ChatGPT Ads; **Dashboard → Breakdown** for Google, Meta, TikTok | An account connected or opened |
| Research competitors' ads, landing pages, keywords | **Chat** (`competitive-analysis`, `competitor-outreach-intelligence`); **Ad Library** | Nothing; Built-in providers (Foreplay, Apify, Exa, Firecrawl) need no setup |
| Public social data: posts, engagement, profiles on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Weibo | **Chat**, via Built-in web-data providers (TikHub, Apify) | Nothing. Public engagement is not your account's private reach or impressions. |
| Private analytics of your own ad accounts | **Chat** and **Dashboard** | That account connected in Integrations |
| SEO keyword research, backlinks, rankings, site speed | **Chat**, via Built-in providers (DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Google PageSpeed) | Nothing; your own search performance needs Google Search Console connected |
| Track how AI answers and search cite your brand | **SEO & GEO** pages | Labs opt-in |
| Web analytics, funnels, payments | **Chat**; Dashboard **GA4** tab | GA4, PostHog, or Stripe connected. GA4 access is read-only reporting. |
| Read or send email, work in Docs / Sheets / Drive, Notion | **Chat** | That account connected (Gmail, Google Workspace, Notion) |
| Repeat a report or check on a schedule | **Automations** | Only what the task itself needs |
| Let Soku optimize accounts on its own | **Autopilot** | Labs opt-in, per-brand enablement, an autonomy level |
| Give the agent lasting context; add a playbook | **Settings → Memory**; **Skills** | Nothing |
| Invite a colleague, change roles or plan | Organization members (top-left switcher); **Settings › Plan** | Organization Admin; seat and brand counts follow your plan |

## What Soku does not do today

- **Connect an existing ChatGPT Ads account.** There is nothing to connect and no OAuth screen. ChatGPT Ads is very much in the product: Soku opens the advertiser account for the brand once an Organization Admin funds it, so the status is "needs the account opened", never "not supported".
- **Create GA4 properties, data streams, or key events.** The GA4 connection is read-only. Google Ads conversion actions can be created through the Google Ads workflow.
- **Create or publish Google Tag Manager containers, tags, or triggers**, or install tags on your website. Soku can retrieve snippets; installing them needs access to your site.
- **Take API keys or passwords in chat.** Every connection goes through Integrations.
- **Read private organic social analytics** (your own Instagram or TikTok account's reach, impressions, followers). Only the accounts listed in Integrations connect; public engagement never substitutes for them.
- **Send you to a vendor site** (fal, Runway, Kling, …) to generate something yourself. Everything runs inside Soku.
- **Manage Slack or Lark channels from Integrations** right now; that entry is temporarily hidden. Existing installs keep working.
- **Skip your approval.** Campaign writes wait for you unless an Autopilot level approves them.

Not on this page? Ask in Chat: the agent says it is not sure rather than guessing, and you can [contact support](/docs/support-and-refunds) to request it.
