MakeUGC Review (2026): Features, Real Pricing and Who It Fits

A MakeUGC review for performance teams: the full published price table verified 2026-08-10, the discount that is actually the list price, the API tier that undercuts the retail tier, and the three limits that catch buyers out.

Prices and limits last verified against the vendor on 2026-08-10.

This is a judgement and a price sheet in one document, because for MakeUGC the pricing is half the assessment. The ranked shortlist of substitutes lives in MakeUGC alternatives. What follows is an evaluation of MakeUGC's published product and pricing surface as verified on 2026-08-10: what it genuinely does well, what the price table actually says once you read all of it, and who should walk away.

Scope note, because it changes how much weight to put on this. We evaluated what MakeUGC publishes — its product pages, its stated capabilities, its pricing variants and its sitemap. We did not run a controlled output-quality bake-off against a competitor, and we are not going to pretend otherwise, because output-quality claims in this category age in weeks as the underlying models change. The durable analysis is about pricing structure and operating model, which change rarely and cost more when they are wrong.

The Real Price Table

Verified against makeugc.ai/pricing on 2026-08-10. All figures are the monthly price displayed on the Monthly toggle.

Every plan lists a 3-day free trial. There is no permanently free tier. The Pro plan also offers 3,000 and 5,000 credit steps through an on-page selector.

Two things the table does not tell you on its own

The 50% discount is the price. On 2026-08-10 the page displayed a 50% OFF badge on every retail plan, under a banner reading Special 24h offer. The countdown timer beside that banner read 24 Days, not 24 hours. More usefully, MakeUGC's own sitemap.xml publishes three alternate pricing URLs — /pricing-50-off, /pricing-50-off-normal and /pricing-v2-turn-off — and we fetched all three. Every one served the identical 59, 79 and 149 USD figures. A discount that survives on every variant of every plan, behind a countdown measured in days under a banner that says hours, is a list price with a badge on it. Budget accordingly, and do not rush a purchase on the strength of the timer.

The API tier undercuts the retail tier. API Starter gives you 2,000 credits for 99 USD/month. Retail Pro gives you the same 2,000 credits for 149 USD/month. The two numbers live behind separate Platform and API tabs, so they never appear on screen together. Pro genuinely bundles more — product-in-hand video, Video Agent, PDF-to-video, 4K unlimited tiers — so this is not a pure arbitrage. But if what you actually need is credits flowing into your own pipeline, the developer tier is 34% cheaper for the same allocation, and nothing on the page points that out.

What MakeUGC Genuinely Does Well

Three things, and the second is rarer in this category than it looks.

The roster and localisation are the product. MakeUGC states over 1,000 realistic AI creators and 50+ languages. For UGC-style advertising, casting is most of the creative decision, and a large roster is a genuine moat over tools with a dozen stock faces. Running the same offer across five markets without re-shooting is the expensive thing this removes.

It publishes its pricing, including for the API. This sounds like faint praise until you shop the category. When we checked Arcads on 2026-08-07, arcads.ai/pricing, arcads.ai/plans and app.arcads.ai/pricing all returned HTTP 404 and no pricing URL appeared in its sitemap at all. MakeUGC publishes a full retail table, a separate API table with per-tier credit counts and concurrency, and trial terms. For any team that has to get a number approved before committing, that difference matters more than a feature checkbox.

The feature set is ad-specific, not generic video. Product-in-hand video, B-roll generation, a gestures feature, batch mode, ElevenLabs voice integration, PDF-to-video, and parallel generation of up to 10 videos and 10 images. These are the things a performance team actually asks for, and they are not what a general corporate-video avatar tool ships.

The Three Limits That Catch Buyers Out

Generation is disconnected from performance. This is the big one and it is structural, not a bug. MakeUGC makes the asset and stops. Nothing on its published surface connects to a Meta, Google or TikTok ad account, reads spend or conversion data, or ranks output by outcome. The predictable arc is that month one feels transformative because output goes up an order of magnitude, and month two is where you notice that sixty variants did not tell you which three to fund. Selection, not production, is where most accounts are actually stuck.

You are buying credits, not outcomes. A fixed monthly allocation is the wrong shape for lumpy demand. Generate in bursts and you pay for headroom you do not use; hit the ceiling mid-test and the remedy on offer is a tier upgrade rather than a better ad. Credits are indifferent to whether the video performed, which is a strange unit to buy performance creative in.

Roster gravity. A tool built entirely around synthetic creators will answer every brief with a synthetic creator. That is fine when a person talking to camera is your winning format and quietly expensive when it is not. Statics, product demos and founder-led video all exist outside what this product is shaped to produce, and the tool will not tell you when you have wandered into a format it cannot serve.

Who It Fits

Buy it if your constraint is genuinely producing UGC-style video at volume, you want a published price rather than a sales call, you run multiple language markets, or you need programmatic generation and want an API with published per-credit pricing. On those jobs it is one of the more complete and more transparent products in the category.

Do not buy it if your ad accounts already hold more creative than you can evaluate, your winning format is not a talking creator, or your generation demand is unpredictable enough that a fixed monthly credit block will mostly go to waste.

And if the honest answer is that you do not know which of your existing ads is working — that is not a generation problem and no roster size fixes it. That is the gap Soku is shaped for: it generates creative, deploys it across Meta, Google and TikTok, reads the spend and conversion data back, and optimises toward ROAS. Keep MakeUGC for the actors if the actors are working; the two are not mutually exclusive.
