TopView AI Review and Pricing (2026): The Cheapest Credit Is the One That Expires

Every number on this page was read off TopView's own pricing page on 2026-09-04. The per-credit and per-second figures are ours: TopView publishes prices and publishes credit grants, but not the division between them, and that division is the entire plan decision.

One structural fact before the table, because it changes what every price below means:

TopView sells two kinds of credit under one word. On Pro and Business the year's credits arrive upfront and last the year — a prepaid balance. On Ultra and Team you get 500 a month and they expire monthly — an allowance. The cheapest credit on the price list is an allowance, and allowances are only cheap if you use them evenly.

The Plans

Verified on topview.ai/pricing 2026-09-04. The page advertises "Up To 67% OFF" on annual billing; the annual column is the per-month figure shown under that toggle. Team's seat selector opens at 2 seats. Enterprise adds a shared credit pool, unlimited members, centralised admin, enterprise analytics, legal indemnification, a stated no-training-on-your-data commitment and a senior account manager.

Note the API asymmetry, because it is easy to miss and expensive to discover late: Pro and Business list plain Access to API, while Ultra and Team list API access (not with plan credits). On the two cheapest-per-credit tiers, programmatic use is billed outside the allowance you just bought.

The Cost Per Credit

This is the arithmetic TopView does not print.

The curve is steep and monotonic, which is unusual — most price lists flatten at the top. Ultra's credit costs half what Pro's does. If credits were fungible across time, Ultra would be the only rational choice above trivial usage.

They are not fungible across time, and that is the whole decision.

Where the Expiry Actually Bites

Take a team that needs 3,000 credits a year — TopView's own Business grant — but spends them in three campaign launches of 1,000 each.

On Business, that works: 3,000 credits sit there from day one and you draw 1,000 whenever a launch lands. Cost, $528.

On Ultra, it does not. You are capped at 500 in any month, so a 1,000-credit launch takes two months or gets cut in half, and the nine quiet months forfeit 4,500 credits you paid for. Cost, $599.90 — more money, less usable capacity, for the plan with the cheaper credit.

The pattern reverses completely for steady work. A team spending 400–500 credits every month uses 6,000 a year and pays $599.90 on Ultra. Buying that on Business would take two subscriptions and cost $1,056.

The rule: buy Ultra for a metronome, Business for a heartbeat.

What a Credit Buys

TopView prices per model in credits per 4 seconds, and applies a tier discount to some of them. From its published comparison table, verified 2026-09-04:

Two things follow that the table does not say out loud.

The tier discount compounds with the cheaper credit. Ultra pays half the credit price and gets 20–40% off the credit cost of most models. A 4-second Seedance 2.5 720p clip is 6 × $0.20 = $1.20 on Pro and 4.8 × $0.10 = $0.48 on Ultra — a 2.5× spread, not the 2× the credit price alone implies.

Resolution is the biggest lever you control. On the same tier, dropping Seedance 2.5 from 1080p to 480p multiplies your output by 5.3×. If you are generating to test hooks rather than to ship the final render, that is the setting that decides how much testing you can afford.

The Competitor Table on TopView's Own Page

TopView publishes its own comparison, dated August 7, 2026, benchmarking best-value annual plans on 720p Seedance 2.5:

We have not independently re-verified the four competitor figures — they are TopView's numbers, quoted as TopView's claim, and they are a month older than the prices above. What is worth taking from it is not the ranking but the framing: TopView chose to compete on cost per second. That is a candid statement of what it thinks it sells, and it is the right lens to evaluate it through.

The Four Limits

1. The unlimited windows are introductory, not structural. Ultra's Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 unlimited access is 60 days, at 720p and up to 30 seconds. Business's Kling 2.6, Kling O1 Video Edit, Kling Motion Control and Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast are 7 days each. Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream 5.0 and the rest are 365 days. TopView's footnote is admirably direct — "Unlimited defines credit-free access, not priority speed" — and adds that waiting time varies with recent unlimited usage. Budget your second year on credits, not on the 60-day window.

2. Concurrency is a real constraint at volume. 4 concurrent tasks on Pro, 8 on Business, 12 on Ultra, 30 across a Team. If your workflow is "queue forty variants and go to lunch", the tier decides how long lunch is.

3. API use is metered outside plan credits on the cheap tiers. Ultra and Team say so explicitly. If you intend to drive TopView programmatically — which its MCP and API access invite — price that separately and do not assume the 6,000 credits cover it.

4. There is no free tier and no published trial. Evaluating TopView costs $29 for a month, or $192 to see the annual price. Both direct competitors named above let you try before you pay.

Who It Fits

Buy it if your work is model-hopping across current-generation video and image models, your usage is steady month to month, and your binding constraint is genuinely the cost per second. On that description Ultra at $599.90 a year is hard to beat and the arithmetic above is why.

Buy Business instead of Ultra if your work arrives in launches. Paying 76% more per credit to have them when you need them is not a mistake; forfeiting 4,500 credits a year to a cheaper unit price is.

Buy something else if the ad needs a synthetic presenter — Creatify from $39/month and HeyGen from $24/month annual are built for it — or if the videos need publishing and measuring rather than only making.

And be clear about what no tier here includes: performance. TopView produces footage. It does not read your ad accounts, does not ingest conversion data, and does not rank what it made by what it returned. If the reason last quarter's creative underperformed was that nobody could tell which asset carried it, a cheaper second of video does not touch that problem.
