Backlinks, keyword difficulty, ranking movement and Ahrefs Brand Radar, answered inside ChatGPT or Claude. You need no Ahrefs seat and no API key of your own: Soku buys each call, tells your AI the price before it runs, and charges the units the call actually consumed.
Do AI assistants mention us when people ask about our category — and which of our pages do they cite?
Built-in — Soku buys itquoted first
Illustrative figures. Every source, mark and price rule comes from the live Connect catalogue.
There is nothing to install for Ahrefs specifically. One connection reaches every source in the catalogue, and this is one of them.
Claude Code
One sign-in covers every project, headless runs (`claude -p`, CI, the Agent SDK) work without a browser, and it can act on your accounts once you approve each change — the MCP connection is read-only.
Create your Soku workspace
The connection is public and identical for everyone — your Soku sign-in is what points it at your data. Connect one account in that workspace too: that is what your AI reads. The first time your AI uses the connection, Soku asks you to approve the access and names the workspace it will read through — so the workspace has to exist by then.
Already have one? Nothing to do here — sign in when the connection asks for it.

Using Soku, search for what capabilities I can reach.
A list of capabilities with names, what each reads and what each costs. An empty list means the grant carries no scopes — re-authorize and tick them. An error naming authorization means the host never completed the browser step.
Checked 2026-08-25 against Claude Code documentation. Menu names change between releases — look for connectors, apps, tools or integrations.
Each one is a tool your AI is offered by name once you connect. You never have to type the name — it is here so you can tell what actually ran.
ahrefs_site_overviewDomain Rating, referring domains, backlink count and estimated organic traffic — the authority snapshot, without paging through anything.
ahrefs_backlinksThe individual inbound links for a target — linking page, anchor text, and the strength of the domain it came from.
ahrefs_keywords_overviewMonthly search volume, keyword difficulty, cost-per-click and traffic potential — for one keyword or a list of them.
ahrefs_rank_trackerTracked keyword positions across a date range, so a drop has a shape and a date rather than only a number.
ahrefs_brand_radar_mentionsAhrefs Brand Radar: mention totals, share of voice and impressions across AI answer surfaces — visibility measured where people now ask, rather than where they used to search.
ahrefs_brand_radar_cited_pagesThe specific URLs AI surfaces cite when answering about a brand or topic, with citation counts — the half of AI visibility you can act on.
Named rather than worked through — your AI discovers all of them through the connection itself, so you never have to pick one.
ahrefs_refdomainsahrefs_matching_termsQuoted to your AI before the call runs, then charged on the units Ahrefs itself reports for that exact call.
Metered from Ahrefs’ own `x-api-units-cost-total-actual` response header at $0.000449 per unit. Every call consumes at least one unit, and how many it consumes depends on how much comes back — which is why the quote arrives before the call rather than from a table. A call that returns no usable header falls back to a $0.001 floor.
No fixed price table, on purpose: units are what Ahrefs bills, and the charge is read from the response rather than guessed from the endpoint. A call that fails is never charged, and Brand Radar’s report-management calls are not billable at all.
Free $10 Ahrefs API credits. Credited when you subscribe to Creator within 7 days of signing up. That covers dozens of competitor lookups.

What Connect does not give you
You get the endpoints listed on this page, not the whole Ahrefs product. There is no Site Audit, no Content Explorer, no alerting, and no dashboard to share with your team — this is the data behind Ahrefs reaching your AI, not Ahrefs itself. If you want the application, buy the application.
