Questions before you run it
- How is this different from the AI object remover?
- Same engine, different framing. The object remover is aimed at physical things — a bin, a cable, a person in the background. This page is aimed at typography: watermarks, price flashes, legal supers, burned-in captions. The prompts you write are different enough that the two are worth separating, but if you need to erase an object and some text in one pass, either page will do both.
- Should I type the words I want removed?
- Describe the location and appearance instead. "The white text across the middle" or "the logo in the bottom right corner" outperforms quoting the copy, because the model is segmenting a region of the image rather than performing OCR. If your first attempt misses, add position and colour rather than more of the wording.
- Will it work on text over a busy background?
- Less well, and this is the honest limit of inpainting. The model rebuilds what it thinks was behind the text. Over a flat colour, a gradient or a repeating pattern the result is usually indistinguishable. Over a detailed face, fine product texture or dense type, expect visible reconstruction — check at full size before it goes into an ad.
- Can I remove text from a video?
- Not on this page — this tool takes a single image. Video needs frame-consistent inpainting, which is a different model, because removing text frame by frame produces a flicker where the reconstructed background shifts between frames.
- Is it legal to remove a watermark?
- That depends entirely on whose image it is, and this tool cannot tell. Removing a watermark from an asset you own or have licensed for that use is routine cleanup. Removing one from stock imagery you have not licensed defeats the licence and is not something we can advise you to do. Check what your licence permits before you use this on anything you did not create.
