Drop in the export
Add the image or video file you are about to upload to Ads Manager. It opens through a local file URL in this tab, so nothing is sent to a server, and video stays scrubbable so you can stop on the frame you are worried about.
Ad safe zone checker
Drop in a vertical ad and see which parts of it the platform's interface will sit on. The TikTok safe zone, the Instagram and Facebook safe zone for Reels and Stories, and YouTube's vertical-ad safe zone are drawn from each platform's own published margins, and your file never leaves your browser.

TikTok In-Feed
Top 160 px (12.5%) · Bottom 440 px (34.4%) · Left 80 px (11.1%) · Right 80 px (11.1%); 200 px (27.8%) below y = 560
Standard In-Feed template, vertical, without an anchor. TikTok says the safe zone also depends on ad caption length and any extra formats (anchors have their own template), and that previews can differ slightly from the live ad on a given device.

Red = keep text, logos and faces out. The overlay marks the margins each platform publishes; it does not draw the platform’s interface.

Choose TikTok In-Feed, Reels, Reels with a disclaimer, Stories or YouTube Shorts, or all four at once. Red is the area that platform asks you to keep clear; the green outline is what is left for text, logos and faces.
Read the safe-area bounds in pixels for your file, nudge the headline, price or logo inside the outline, re-export and check again. When it is clean, take the creative into Soku to make the other sizes and launch it.
Where the numbers come from
Each zone was read from the platform’s own documentation on 2026-10-09, not copied from a template site. TikTok publishes its zone only as a downloadable image, so its numbers were measured from that official file. Platforms revise these from time to time, so the source link sits next to every row.

Meta’s safe-zone help article and its Instagram Reels and Stories specs give 14% top, 35% bottom and 6% sides. Its Facebook Stories video spec page still shows an older 14% top and 20% bottom. The checker uses the stricter figure.
TikTok says the safe area depends on the ad’s dimensions, caption length and extra formats such as anchors, and that previews can differ slightly from the live ad. A long caption climbs higher than the standard template allows for, so keep captions short or leave extra room.
Meta notes that on screens taller than 9:16 it may zoom the ad to fill the screen, cropping outside the safe zone, or show it at 9:16 on a black background. Either way, content inside the zone survives — which is why the margins exist on the sides as well.
Why Soku
Checking one export against one placement takes a minute. Doing it for every size of every variant, every week, is where the time goes. That is the part Soku takes over.
Soku's AI ad resizer reframes an image or video ad for Reels, Stories, TikTok, feed and YouTube by recomposing around the subject rather than centre-cropping it away.
Soku Creatives generates image and video ads from a product URL or a few photos, so when the safe area squeezes your layout you can try a different composition instead of shrinking the text.
Soku runs campaigns across Meta, Google and TikTok from one chat, with changes going live after you approve them, and A/B-tests creatives on live traffic.
Use cases
Designers and editors
Price stickers, offer badges and end-card logos are the elements most often placed near the bottom edge — exactly where Reels and Shorts stack captions and the call-to-action. Ten seconds here saves a re-export after launch.
UGC and creator buyers
Creator videos usually arrive with captions already rendered. Scrub through the file on the TikTok overlay to find the lines that run into the right-hand column or the bottom caption area, and send precise fix notes with pixel positions.
Media buyers
If the same video is going to TikTok, Reels and Shorts, select “All four at once”. It shows the overlap of all their safe areas, so a layout that passes there passes on every one of them.
Bring the creative into Soku: reframe it for each placement, generate new image and video variants, and launch on Meta, Google and TikTok once you approve.
